Last Treat Meal of 2015- Columbus Nutrition

So on New Year’s Eve we made our traditional trek to Teds Montana Grill in Dublin off of Sawmill rd.
This is year 5 of the tradition.
It’s always a treat meal for me. Â Usually fries. We’ll always fries ?
I had onion rings and fries and a bison burger. Bison is Delicious if you haven’t had it and not really included as a treat food.
After the meal I wanted cheese and crackers and tortilla chips. Two of my favorite treat foods. I got the same kind of cheese and crackers me and my grandpa used to it.
I expected to feel a lot worse afterwards. Last year I got sick for about 10 days and I only had 2 servings of fries. This year I just felt a little bloated because I ate so much.
Before bed I drank a full glass of water with apple cider vinegar and set up my essential oil diffuser to help clear the negative consequences. I woke up feeling fine.
But I also did a
cleanse day on New Years day. I’m currently going though the isabody challenge now. You can learn more about it
here. Or here is our
cleanse challenge.
Most people when they start the trek of a healthier version of themselves they need to have planned days like this. I used to preach the rule of 90% all the time. It works for nutrition, workouts, whatever you are wanting to change. It simply is– follow through 90% of the time and you will get the results you are looking for– eventually. Obviously it will be slower then if you comitted 100% to it. But that is hard for a lot of people.
Especially with nutrition. I myself used to eat at least 2 treat meals a week. However I just wasn’t happy with my body. Then I was introduced to the cleanse and eventually the Ketogenic Diet.
Ever so slowly the rule of 90% became the rule of 93%, then 95%, then 99%. Now it’s more like 99% for the year. in 2015 I only had 5 treat meals that I can remember.
My purpose and training and health now puts my nutrition 1st and foremost. Even above training. Because I can always push myself harder then most people to get back and surpass where I was previously; but if I eat a treat meal…. I know the consequences.
I just did my second month measurement for the Isabody challenge and wasn’t happy with my body fat coming in at 13.5%. But I decided to have the NYE treat. My goal is to come in at around 8-9% by the end of the challenge (4 months total).
Once you know what your training for or living for……..then it is a lot easier to stick to the plan.
Figure that out and go get it!
Our 2nd 47-Day Keto Challenge starts on 1/17/16. Fries, onion rings and cheese & crackers isn’t on the plan. But if your ready to get the body and health you’ve always wanted then the choice is simple:
